Free Telemedicine Service

Lahore, April 06, 2020: Shalamar Hospital has launched a free online telemedicine service to offer medical advice to patients during the current lock down caused by COVID-19. Senior consultants of Shalamar Hospital will give free professional advice to patients through Skype.   This service has been launched to help people receive medical advice at their homes, as due to the current lock down situation they are facing difficulties in going out of their homes. Shalamar Hospital is contributing to the society through this free of cost initiative whereby anyone can visit the dedicated page of telemedicine on the website of Shalamar Hospital for medical advice.   Senior consultants of Shalamar Hospital from the department of Medicine, Gynaecology, Cardiology, Surgery and Paediatrics will offer instant medical advice to patients. The service is available everyday except Sunday from 9 am – 2 pm.   According to Col. (R) Dr. Tanveer Rana, Chief Operating Officer, Shalamar Hospital, “In this moment of crisis, we stand with the people of Pakistan and we want them to know that Shalamar Hospital is striving to offer them experienced medical advice without the need to stepping out of their homes.”   Dr. Tanveer Rana further said, “Using Skype, people can connect with our experienced team of doctors and seek medical advice for free. 4th Convocation Ceremony 2019

Shalamar Nursing College organizes 4th Convocation Ceremony; Awards BSN and BSRN degrees to 92 graduates Lahore, 14 December, 2019: The 4th Convocation of Shalamar Nursing College (SNC) was organized in the auditorium of Shalamar Medical and Dental College (SMDC), Lahore. A total of 92 graduates were conferred Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing-Post RN (BSRN) degrees by Dr. Shagufta Khalid, Pro-Vice Chancellor, University of Health Sciences (UHS). At the ceremony, Nasim Rafiq, Principal, SNC, presented the report of college activities. Shahid Hussain, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Businessmen Hospital Trust, and Kousar Parveen, Director General Nursing Punjab, awarded 77 graduates with certificates and shields for academic excellence. From the batch of BSN, Nabeel Anwar was awarded 10 shields and he was also declared the best graduate of the session, whereas from BSRN Seemab Ghulam Ali was awarded 5 shields and she was also declared the best graduate of the session. Both were awarded gold medals for their academic efforts by the chief guest. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Zahid Bashir, Principal, SMDC; Col. (R) Dr. Tanveer Rana, Chief Operating Officer, Shalamar Hospital; and Dr. Riffat Javed, Principal, Shalamar School of Allied Health Sciences (SSAHS); parents of graduates and faculty members.

International Nursing Day The International Nursing Day was celebrated on 12th May 2018 o promote awareness with regards to the role and importance of nursing in the health profession, and to celebrate the nursing staff of Shalamar Hospital.
